Negotiating the Research Design (IRR SP14HA4) -

ONLINE GUIDE TOWARDS

INCLUSIVE RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH

RESEARCH GROUP CODE: SP14HA4

University Jaume I DESiRES - Sociology and Social Research Methodologies. Inequalities and Resistances

TYPE OF BEST PRACTICE:

DESCRIPTION:

The research group focuses its activity on the study of inequalities encountered by young people living in a rural context. For example, concerning the digital divide, youth policies or difficulties in mobility or transportation.

In the data analysis phase, researchers resort to a joint analysis for a shared reading of the data or information collected throughout the first phases of the research. Thus, there is always a process of returning the results to the study participants. In this way, they integrate the information extracted or analyzed and the stakeholders can read it and provide other perspectives and ideas, so that the people participating in the research provide further feedback on it. To this end, through a participatory process, they propose different dynamics that facilitate the participation of direct stakeholders in the project. This is done through participatory dynamics and techniques, such as virtual meetings or the New Rurality Forum. This feedback process is continuous and is part of the transformation of their lives and their collectives. The purpose is to analyze the information jointly and obtain their own perspective on the information extracted during the process, with the purpose of providing more feedback on the problems studied.
